Is the choke tube on the 870 express tactical removable?

Yes, it has Rem Choke threads so comes right out. It is called the Remington Extended Tactical Choke and here in my shop we call it the "The Remington Tactical Joke". It is made for Remington by Haskinator. So screw it out then Throw it in the garbage and install the Rem Choke Tube of your choice. Note

Doesn't hurt to pattern it first with your intended ammo to see how it performs; THEN if it is crap, replace it.
