Remington 870 Wingmaster (Magnum)

Does anyone know how I can find out when my 870 was manufactured and how much it is worth? I have had it for 23 years.

It is a Remington 870 Wingmaster (Magnum)
serial # V826616M
It has a vented rib barrel with full choke, does not have screw in chokes.
C, H and Rep are stamped on one side of the barrel
FULL, R, and 90 are stamped on the other side
The barrel is 29 1/2 inches from the tip to the chamber, I did not know if I was supposed to measure from tip to tip or not.
The gun is in emmaculent shape, no rust, pitting, or scratches on gun.

Anything you could tell me about the gun or any sites you could reccomend for information about the gun would be greatly appreciated!

I dont know about value but you can find out when it was manufactured by calling Remington directly 1-800-243-9700.

Go look on www.gunsamerica.com, www.gunbroker.com, and www.auctionarms.com.
I believe the version before yours with the simpler checkering pattern, vari-weight plug system, and the chrome plated carrier was the 'ultimate' 870.
