Remington 887 Tactical

I'm about to buy a new shotgun, and was really liking the 887 tactical by Remington. I love the features of the gun and especially the fact that it has the removable choke option on a 20" barrel with a vent rib sight system. BUT theres a lot of questions. Are the butstock and forend on the 887 compatible with those from the 870? Same with accessories like sidesaddles and safetys? Also, is the quality comparable to that a current tactical 870?

i had your line of thinking a few years back
ive heard less than good things about the 887 durability
i ended up with a benelli supernova tactical it doesnt take chokes but it does have 3.5 inch chamber

The fore end and stock are different than the 870s. The side saddles which replace the trigger pins on an 870 will not work on the 887.
