I have a buttstock question. I have a ten-year old nearly stock 870. All I have changed is to add a +2. I recently switched agencies and my new agency carries a nearly idetical 870. The only difference is the buttstock, which is a pistolgrip. It looks like a speedfeed III, but appears to be from Remington. I asked our armorers and they were under the impression it was from Remington. Aesthetically it is identical to the factory stock I have now; it appears to be the same material and has the same recoil pad. I love the feel of the stock, more so than any other pistol grip I have tried. I can't find any reference to the stock having come from Remington, however. Anybody have any ideas?

thanks,

Adam

PS, I would include a pic but that sort of thing is highly discouraged at work.

Some Remington tactical shotguns have come from the factory with Speedfeed pistol-grip stocks that are fitted with Remington R3 (i.e. Limbsaver) recoil pads.

Thanks for the responses. I was talking with someone on another forum and they told me that some 870's that are produced specifically for law enforcement are fitted with speedfeed stocks at the factory, as well as a few other upgrades.
