yeah i got no clue -- i just saw there was an inaccessible/broken link someone posted so i googled to see what it was. all i know is that it looks pretty and is way more money than i'd ever want to spend ;)

It's more money than I have sitting around at the moment, but it's not way more than I'd want to be able to spend on a shotgun.

It is, however, about $4400 more than I'd spend on an 870, no matter how much non-functional adornment it might have. It's still an 870, a mass-produced, stamped steel pump gun with mediocre controls and dimensions (nice-handling, and very reliable, but my plain 870 is, also :)).

I'm someone that would rather have a run-of-the-mill 911 than a Ford Taurus with fancy rims, custom trim and a $10,000 paint job.

It appears to have field stock drop, that's what I was saying.

Not all 870 trap guns have the monte carlo stock. The ones with a standard comb, have the bolt hole positioned lower than the field stocks resulting in a higher comb than a field gun.

I like my 870 as a cheap, reliable knockaround shotgun that still has great handling. I'm by no means anti-870.

But...

That kind of engraving belongs on a whole different platform. Beautiful as that work is, it's almost comical by its juxtaposition. Reminds me of a Jeepney (and I also have a Jeep and love my Jeep).
