I recently had a small issue with my 1100's carrier release, this is my first Remington product, so I did not know what to expect when I called Remington on Monday about the issue. I told them Im deploying soon, and instead of sending my shotgun to the factory or a field repair center, Remington just sent me a new trigger assembly, it took a total of 5 days outstanding. great service

I understand your disappointment when the first Remington you purchased had some issues, but it's nice to hear that they made it right.

Man, if they sent you a whole trigger group that is first rate. Glad to hear they got you fixed up. You stay safe on that deployment. Thank you for your service.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on which of us you are), that is absolutely opposite of how Remington treated me on an 11-87 that broke the bolt link in the first box of shells. They would not send me a replacement link unless I bought it, and would not refund the cost if I sent them the broken one. The only "free warranty fix" was to send the entire gun to a Remington authorized gunsmith, none of which are located in my state. This right in the first week of hunting season. Due to this and other issues, I no longer purchase Remington centerfire autos of any description.

I have known them to not want to ship to anyone but a gunsmith, whether they were a warranty authorized one or not. I used to sell guns, and I am a little bit of a gun mechanic - no claims of "gunsmith" - and they have sent me parts lots of times, but that has not been lately. With lawyers and liability like it is I am surprised they still put anything in cereal boxes.
