Remington Model 11 barrel

My Remington Model 11 semi auto is poorly

He needs a Barrel transplant but to date there are no donors with a matching type

Does anyone know of a place in the UK i can get one please?

Or even someone willing to ship to the UK as i have found loads of websites in the good ole USA but up to now non are prepared to ship to the UK for me:banghead:

I need a 28" or a 30" smooth bore barrel to bring him back to health as the existing barrel is extremely badly pitted in the bore

Sorry to hear you're having troubles. And also sorry that I cannot offer a lot of assistance- my M11 is keeping its barrel, thanks 8^). But perhaps there is someone out there who can help. For starters, try eBay- sometimes parts turn up there, I got a badly needed replacement magazine tube for mine that way, and I have seen barrels advertised on the American version at least.

Corson dont ship outside the US

Barrel exchange only have Cyl or IC no good to me. If all else fails i will contact them and have to go that route though

And Hoosiergunworks dont have a Email address

Looks like the hunt goes on (pun intended)

Contacting a guy in this country who has a HUGE collection he is an american moved to the UK and has a huge collection so if he hasn't got one perhaps he may be able to source one for me

There are two of them on Ebay right now, however one is a cut down. Both sellers say no to outside US shipoing. If you do your homework and make sure it is legal to ship them to the UK and be willing to walk the seller through the exporting just maybe if you talk to one of them yoiu can convince them to ship over seas, never know.

I am begining to think it may be better to aproach my local gun shop offer to slip him £50 or so to get one shipped for me as he has all nececary paper work etc to bring em in.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of either of the Rem mod 11 barrel OR the Savage 720 barrel please??

I was talking to my local RFD today and they say US barrels are a no go as they would need proofing in the UK at cost

Sunk my boat i can tell you

So unfortunatley i need to find a UK proofed barrel as it ALSO has to go on my SGC as another shotgun

Rang the guy at Edgar Bros today and he said best thing i can do is take a Holl state side and take the shotgun with me.

When there get a barrel to fit and ditch the old one.

On return to the UK take barrel to proof house and pay £25 for test and stamp.

THEN i looked at price of a Holl in america

Flights alone are over £1200 $2350

Thats just plain ridiculous

Looks like i am stumped now

I am even contemplating selling the Rem 11 so someone else can restore it instead as it's a shame to break for spares

Guess even breaking it isn't out of the question though

I have a Remington Model 11 that I had to rebarrel due to a couple of bulges I found in the barrel. I went to Remington's website and found a list of parts guys.

You should find a guy with barrels on this list. Don't worry about the choke. I had mine cut for Tru-choke choke tubes. Much better than fixed chokes.
