A very good shotgun.....
JM Browning designed it. Remington made it until about 1930,when they discontinued it. Ithaca waited until the patents and pirated the design. Thye brought out their Model 37 in 1937. It's still being made.
Getting one for $75 borders on theft. Congrats.
As with ALL shotguns made before WWII, a trip to the gunsmith is in order. Have him/her check the headspace, chamber length and for safety issues, though those are rare.
Know that these have the "Fan Fire" feature like Model 12s and 97s. If you hold the trigger down and keep pumping, it'll fire on closing. Not useful, but showy.
