I was wondering if anyone would have an idea of the value of a Remington Model 600 - 350 Magnum. My Dad bought this rifle in the mid 1960's for moose hunting. He used it one season and probably fired a maximum of one box of cartridges through it. It was passed along to me when my father died and has been in my gun safe for over 30 years without ever have been fired. I get it out once a year and clean it and put it away. Obviously it is in excellent condition. I also have the original set of reloading dyes that he purchased. Thanks for any information.

Depending on the condition the rifle could easily bring close to a grand. There is a certain following for these carbines. They were and maybe still are prized weapons for use by guides for back up guns. Please be advised that they do kick like a mule and the muzzle blast is horrific.

i have the same gun in the mohawk 600. i wouldn't sell or trade it for the world. it was past down from my pops to. they are great little walking rifles. id sure like to see pics of yours. im guessing $800 or more

the only rifle worth more than this, would be an origional one in 223, since they only made about 700 of them, but yours is next. If it is all origional, and fired that little, you are looking at some very big bucks indeed.

I am going to say, it would be worth about 2 grand, maybe more depending on condition, and especially if it has the full vent rib, with the big sharkfin front sight, and a bit more for the lam stock. a very good condition 3030 or 44 mag goes for over a grand. the mags alone are 80 bucks and higher for the 3030, 100 or more for the 44 mag, and your 350 would be at least that for the mags.

Family guns are priceless, put it back in your gun safe. It was your fathers gun you will regret selling it later.

I have spent allot of time searching for guns that were "lost" during my fathers last years. The best I can do is buy copies of what he had.

For insurance I would say $1500.

Real world dollar value... What you can get for it in cash. $750-?? $1000?? The one on gunbroker did not sell at $850.

I would Never sell the rifle. I was just curious as to how much it was worth. I know my father paid less than $150.00 for it brand new. This gun, along with all of others will pass down to my son when I go. Thanks for all the information.

I bought a very nice used one in the 70's for about $250. It kicked like a mule so I put it in the back of the closet where it stayed for about 20 years or so. I finally sold it to Wild West Guns in Anchorage for a tidy profit. That's one rifle I DON'T miss.

rEMINGTON 600m

I have a 600 in 350 Remingtom magnum since about 1981. I paid about $350 for it with a half dozen boxes of ammo and a decent 4x scope. I have only used it on boar, which may be a bit overkill, but it always puts them down in one shot. I have never recovered a bullet, they go through and through no matter what they encounter inside.

Recoil is almost a myth. When the time comes to shoot you really don't feel anything. While I may not want to shoot 1000 rounds off the bench, for practical use it is not an issue.

Beside being beautiful, it is a pleasure to carry, especially for long days up and down hills.

Mine is near mint, and I doubt I would sell it for 2 grand. Until you actually own and use one, you really can't fully appreciate it.

I would feel confident with this rifle hunting anything on this continent.

Seems like a real good excuse to get into reloading!

You can download using cast lead .357" pistol bullets and get great inexpensive performance with low recoil.

I couldn't agree more with so much of the advice I have read here. Keep the gun, don't worry about what the market value states it to be worth. According to the gun bible, a Model 600 .350 in very good shape fetches around 700.00. I too have my father's Model 600 that I spent 10 years talking my uncle into selling me. I gave more than market value to bring home to Alaska my father's .350 so that I can pass it on to my kids. Of course it will be after it takes one more Kodiak Brownie. I also have the Model 673 in .350 to take out in the field for large game for years to come.
Enjoy the legacy that you now have to pass down to the next generation.

It's not always about following the pack, sometimes you have to lead!

If anyone has one with serial # 63000 it was mine and sold to someone in ak. Recoil is not a myth either with factory fodder.

I would Never sell the rifle.

Good for you! Your father's imprint on the rifle is impossible to replicate. In terms of value, the Remington Model 600 has attained an almost cult status and, in the condition you describe, will easily bring $700.00 and up in these parts. Hang on to it and dream of that grizzly bear/moose hunt in your future. You have the perfect rifle for such an endeavor!

Rem 600 350M

A NIB recently sold on GB for > $2000. Yours sounds like it's probably mint and shouldn't go for anything less than $1200. I had one of these years ago when it first came out. It was my first high powered rifle and I thought it was the most fantastic looking gun I'd ever seen. Took it to my grandparents' farm to try it out. No ear protection of course; that was for wussies. Well, by the 10th shot I was flinching so badly I couldn't hit a few gallons steel pail at 25 yards! Sold it.
Always regretted doing that. Many years later I bought one again. Can shoot a 338 RUM without flinching (with ear protection of course), but that 350?...must be PTSD.
