Anyone have personal experience with the Remington Model Five? My understanding is that it's an eastern European made rifle with the Remington logo slapped on the side.

I'm most specifically wondering about the trigger. There are a few Model 700's in the family and most of them have great triggers, but the trigger on all the 870's in the family (including mine, which I love dearly) are more or less terrible. Not a big deal on a bird gun, but more important on a .22 that would be used for plinking and squirrel hunting.

Is the trigger adjustable to someone who is pretty technically inclined? (I'm a Journeyman electrician)

So, I call upon the wealth of THR knowledge and experience. What say you?

It's made by Zastava in Serbia, who made the well known Interarms Mark X Mausers.

Remington only imported and sold them. It was the Model 5 when they sold it, Charles Daly sold them as the Superior II, and it's also been sold as the CZ 99, not to be confused with the Czech CZ.

It's a good gun and the trigger can be adjusted to a nice let off if you know what you're doing.
