Several years ago I purchased 3 frames from Cornwall Bridge Gunshop - a Beals .44 w/barrel, a NMA and a Whitney Navy conversion w/cylinder. Object being to build them up as wallhangers/decorators. I've found some parts but am looking for more - original or replica. I would like to find a hammer and loading lever for the Beals. The NMA frame is apparently a Navy/.36 model (S/N 30XXX) (a ..44 barrel I got frome Dixie doesn't fit but a .36 barrel screws right in). My big problem is finding a hammer that will fit (the replica hammer I got from Dixie works fine in the Beals, but won't fit in the NM frame). Can anyone point me to a source(s) for the pieces (original or replica) I need? I don't know if the .44 hammer can be slimmed down to work; I would prefer to avoid the expense of having a hammer custom made. Any thoughts, comments and/or suggestions willbw greatly appreciated.
