remington product line shrinking?

Yesterday at the gun store I heard that Remington is slimming down their product line... No more Senderos, VLS, model 7, cutting some shotguns, etc. Anyone else heard this? Any ideas why?

I have not heard about Remington narrowing there product line, but the company is having financial problems. This maybe a way for them to cut losses, or they might have to file for Chapter 11.

Note the VLS is still there and the Sendero II has a "New" icon next to i t.

Don't believe everything you hear in a gun store.

Yeah yeah, and Winchester still lists the 1894, and 1300's in the product line on their website.
I'm not saying that remington IS shrinking the product line, but don't believe everything you read either.
