Removing bead on 870

Chances are it's pressed in, not threaded. It'll likely have to be ground off, and the proper size hole drilled and tapped for whatever yo want to replace it with. Usually costs less than $20 to get it done around here...

Yep, most likely it is pressed. A buddy of mine managed to work his loose with a pair of vise grips and threaded the hole himself, but his was already loose (poor factory QC maybe as it was a relatively new gun) and he's pretty handy. If you're not confident in your skills to do something like that I'd recommend finding a local smith.
 
Yeah, when I saw the fiber optic my buddy had on his I asked him, "How'd you get that press fit bead out?" He said, "I didn't realize it was press fit until I got started, Good thing it was a little loose in there to begin with."

You aren't the only one who didn't know before they tried :D.
