removing flash supressor

best way to remove supressor without marring it ? and are they normal or reverse threads. i have a oly arms carbine.

Normal threads. I have taken many off with a simple open ended wrench but those were just "bird cage" types. I now have specialty tools because of the business i do.
 
Make sure its not a carbine with a less than 16" barrel with the flash suppressor permanently attached to make it the legal length. Oly has made a fair number of these over the years.

If it doesn't have flats that are obviously where an open ended wrench goes, good chance it was permanently attached.
 
Just because it's cut for a wrench does not mean it's not pinned or welded. If it's a true flash supressor mounted on a 16" or longer barrel, then it should come off. If it's a muzzel brake or a flash supressor required to make the length 16", then it may be pinned / welded.
