Removing the GP100 Trigger Guard Assembly

Any tips on how to get this done? I have tried several times to get the trigger guard assembly out and the plunger simply will not budge, no matter how much pressure I apply to it. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried using a lever (screwdriver)

That is how I do it with the Security Six and the mechanism is similar.

Do you mean inserting the screwdriver and levering up on the tab to remove it? So far I haven't found a screwdriver that is small enough to try this with.

Also watch out you dont lose the pawl spring. It likes to launch. Taking this thing apart in a clear plastic bag would be ideal.

I got it! I used a 3mm hex wrench (key) and applied leverage to the plunger and it finally popped. Now I can give my GP100 a polish job.
