I need a recommendation for a good repair shop to put my 1894 and 99 models back in shape. They are in near mint condition but will not generate any velocity. Seals are probably shot.

The 99 is an easy fix- use the barrel seal and plunger head from the current production Daisy model 25. You can buy these parts directly from Daisy, cost is $2.50 plus shipping.

130225-100 Plunger head 1.50
130126-100 Barrel seal $1.00

If you'd rather have someone else do your 99, anyone who can handle the 1894 can certainly do the 99 at the same time.

Regarding your 1894, it is a complicated 'bit of kit', as the Brits would say. Hopefully someone will have a recommendation for someone who has worked on their 1894, but until then the following is a list supplied by Daisy:

"For parts or repair on the older model guns you will need to contact one of the gunsmiths listed below. We no longer have parts or do repairs on discontinued models. We suggest you contact them prior to shipping your gun for repair charges with shipping and handling."

Update...do not send your guns via USPS! I sent my 99 Priority, insured. The Post office "lost" it. Tracked it to their PA Priority sorting installation where the trail ends. Jumped thru the claims process, got denied (said I exceeded time limits). Appealed it and got $35 on my $150 claim. They said they don't pay replacement value because it was " depreciated" due to age. Appealed again and got no reply to date. Hope whoever stole it pulls a Ralphie (shoots their eye out).

I would NEVER send anything of value through the USPS. Their tracking methodology leaves a lot to be desired.
