Are there any powder measures better than the lee measure that will work with the same die? I can't use AA#5 because its too fine of a powder and slips through the cracks and locks up the measure and makes a mess. This is with the micrometer bar, not the disks. Has anyone else had this issue with this powder and/or measure?

Most LEE powder measures leak and powders like #5, #7 and Ramshot True Blue leak pretty bad because they are so fine. I don't think you have another option using the LEE powder through expander die but Lyman makes a similar die that you can use with most brands of powder measures. Myself, I have used the same RCBS Uniflow for over 20 years now. ;)

I have the auto disk on my pro 1000, running accurate #7. It's perfect. I am using the discs though, not the mic. if I were to run the mic, I'd use a larger powder. I'd suggest you check all of the mating surfaces and locate the source of your problem. Perhaps the whole thing could be fixed with a simple shim.

I have the Pro Auto Disk and it leaks powder, even those slightly larger in grain size than AA#7, like W 231 and Silhouette. ;)

I use a Pro Auto-Disk for handgun powders and I have had no leakage with W231 and AA#5. I use a Perfect Powder Measure for rifle powders and have had no problems there either.

If you are looking to use only 1 powder measure I would suggest a Lyman #55. It's a outstanding powder measure with very fine adjustments. I have been using a Lyman #55 for a fem months now in place of the Lee PPM.
