I have an unusual question for any Galil/Golani/Vektor experts. I recently purchased a SMG that had a Galil stock welded to the back of the lower receiver. Length of pull is excessive for an SMG and the stock does not clear the drum magazine when folded. It needs to be about 1.25" shorter. Anything up to 1.5" shorter would give a good length of pull.
I will need a stock that works with the "stock" stock hinge which is welded on so I can't switch to an ACE, for example.
As far as the option of shortening the current stock, I have removed the drift pin from the fork but the tubes won't budge. Is there solder or an adhesive in there?
Mike
PS. Mods this is a rather technical discussion of Galil stocks so please don't move to NFA.
