Hey all, I have a favor to ask of you Walther P99 owners...

I'm a game artist and I'm creating a weapon for in-game use, this weapon happens to be a walther P99. As of now I'm in the process of creating the texture for the model. My request to you p99 owners is, can you possibly take a high resolution photo of the back of your handgun?

I've attached an example of the sort of picture I currently need. The picture I have would be perfect except that it's entirely too small. Any other high res pics of your P99 would be awesome.

I will give credit to the person(s) whose photo I use. Thanks!

perfect! now i have something to work with. i believe that picture will do just fine. here is the current progress on the gun. it's not an exact replica, some parts were removed or exaggerated for the sake of the mod. for instance, the hump inside the trigger guard, the depressions at the base of the grip and some of the minor details. i'd say it's about 10%-15% complete at its current state, especially seeing as how it looks more like a glock than anything right now.

i still have to paint in a lot of detail and match the color and your pic helps a lot. if you want to PM me your first and/or last name i can give you credit for your contribution. or i can use your forum name.

the larger the better, if it's not too much trouble. just so i can see all the little details clearly. thanks again for your help.

hey gixerman, i took a look at that site. there are some great pics there but i think for the purpose of the grip that i could benefit from from a straight shot of the gun's profile (i've attached an example pic) viewed from the left side of the gun. a really high res photo like that would be awesome!

how do you like that p99 of yours?

I like it allot, also have one in 40sw and both have been very good and reliable shooters.

So why the P99 if you don't mind me asking? Are you doing any others too, if so depending on what it is I may be able to help you out with photo's of them too.

Here you go, a little dark but two of my lights are out of action right now.

those pictures are perfect, exactly what i needed.

well, we need handguns in different calibers for any FPS and i decided that using more exotic looking pistols would be better than going for the traditional 1911, berettas and the over-used glock. though, i may still create a custom 1911 with engraved sides, but i'm not sure just yet. same with the long guns, as opposed to using traditional pumps i'm probably going to go ahead and add the more exotic looking spas-12.

i'm having trouble finding references for exotic assault rifles and sub-machine guns, but i'll probably approach them the same way.

still, there's no denying that walther's line of pistols are elegant and exotic in their looks and that's why i chose the p99. i plan on creating the PPK on the side just for my portfolio.

here's an update. there's still a lot of work to do, the grip (esp the back of the grip), trigger guard and back of the slide need lots of fixing.

i'm eager to hear your opinion. i've never held or used a p99 personally so an opinon from an owner of the gun would help.

as of now it's roughly 40% complete.
