Restore the Constitution/Open Carry rally in Atlanta

There is going to be a Restore the Constitution Rally in Little Five Points in Atlanta, GA tomorrow October 30th.

The time is from 11am-1pm on the corner of Moreland and Euclid Avenue.

We will all be OPEN CARRYING both pistols AND rifles.

Rifles must be unloaded, chamber flagged, and slung to the rear with barrel pointed down. You are welcome to bring ammo and magazines in harnesses/vests on your person. Pistols can be loaded, but must remain holstered.

Come on out and show the locals and politicians that the Second Amendment (as well as the rest of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution) are not to be ignored/altered/infringed upon.

Heck. I missed it. How did it go? Wasn't anything in the paper about it to advertize, that I saw.

Just curious as to why the difference in "requirements" for rifles vs. handguns? Is that something in state law? Isn't the purpose for carrying a gun for self defense? A gun with an empty chamber and a chamber flag is hardly ready to be used for self defense.
