Restored an old shotgun.

Remington Pre-model 11 Police?(it has 18" cylinder bore barrel) - 12 Gauge- i think i got it dated around 1908-ish

Replaced cracked bolt and broken locking bolt.

Replaced barrel recoil spring and brass friction ring

Replaced back receiver bolt buffer and rivet

repaired/refinished wood

bluing repair-refinish

waiting on front sight bead and it will be completed. sight bead should be in Tuesday.

got the gun for $50 and have about $140 worth of parts in it. and about 20-30 hrs

Good restoration job and you got it at a great price. Any before pictures?
 
Good job. Working on one a model 11 myself-just an incomplete pile of parts at the moment.

Nice to see these old workhorses put back in service.
 
yep. it came to me all torn into pieces. took awhile to find the square style firing pin bolt for a reasonable price. I got all the parts needed and went to work.


I have one that my dad bought me when i was around 12 years old. it dates 1914 and has been hunting with me every year without any problems.
