Have any of you guys ever seen this documentary? I had never heard of it, but was recommended by a friend to watch it. It is a very eye opening documentary of what life is like for soldiers on the frontlines in Afghanistan, specifically a place called the Korengal valley.

Thought I would get the word out about this documentary as I think everyone should watch it. It truly gave me chills. If you have ever been interested in what it is TRULY like over there please feel free to track down this film.

I would like to thank all of our servicemen and women for all you do.

I've got the DVD and the book "War" the documentary was produced to complement. If you liked the documentary the book is outstanding.

One of the guys stationed there in the video was from up here only minutes from my house. Yes, awesome video... we need more "inside peeks" at what's going on over there. Has anyone also seen the Pat Tillman video?

I saw it when it came out, great documentary. Speaking if Afganistan Robin Williams should be commended on his umpteenth trip over there, He went to entertain 40 guys at a forward front line base camp. I saw him on Letterman last week. He trully loves the troops. He said some funny stuff, he stayed at one of Sadams Palaces, said that the coloumbian drug lords must have lauhghed their butts off at the way Sadam had the place decorated, his chandalier was plastic not crystal, and his marble was 1/4 inch plywood with just the cheapest thinest crap covering it. It looked like Sadam went to Target.

I think it's good to let people at home see what life is like for some of the troops in the more remote outposts. I think many people believe our troops are living in much better conditions than they are. There are still some real dumps in Iraq as well.

I caught the last half hour of it when it originally aired on television. Since most of my closest friends are active duty military and have served multiple tours in Irag and Afghanistan, it hit really close to home. I told my girlfriend how much I loved it, and how I wished I could have seen the whole thing. Christmas morning it was under the tree for me.
