Hey all. I'm shopping around for a, preferably mil-dot, reticle rangefinder. All I see online are scopes, but I'm looking for a monocular style rangefinder so I can use it for bow hunting with a regular eye-relief. I don't trust electronics too much, and I hate buying batteries, so I don't want a laser rangefinder. I've seen a couple golf rangefinders, but the reviews said they weren't accurate.

Does anyone know of a monocular with a mil-dot or range finding reticle? I suppose binoculars would work if there's nothing else.

Bushnell still does, but a 50 - 200 yard working range isn't going to do an archer much good, unless you work for the Roman army.

I think if I were you I'd just bite the bullet and go with a laser range finder.
Even a very cheap one is going to be more accurate then a golf mechanical.
This one runs on a 9v battery.

As for mil-dots?
I think without knowing the exact size of the deer, you could get as close to the exact range by guessing.

Or putting out a few stepped off range markers in your open firing lanes.
