Retro 4x21 Scope

Has anyone used Brownell's Retro 4x21 scope on a fixed carry handle AR?

I read that it's supposed to be compatible with the iron sights. Is it really? (Specifically thinking of the A2 rear sight here.) Can you actually use the iron sights easily with the scope mounted?

Is the cheek riser necessary? Seems it would interfere with using the iron sights?

How is the clarity? Durability? Repeatability of the crosshairs? etc.

They're supposedly made by the original vendor in Japan; does anyone know who that is?
 
I've got one of em! The iron sights are perfectly usable with the scope on like Rob said you can use the scope without any sort of riser its sort of a chin weld and you have to have your head further forward then normal.

....and nice Dissipator! That is a great looking rifle! What are the specs on your upper? Not trying to derail the OP's question, but it kind of fits with the thread....maybe.
