"From Mike Hargreaves, Brit Special Ops and world-class trainer"

Umm, John Holschen is not exactly a potted plant himself. I knew him when he was instructing US Army Special Forces medics (18 deltas) at Ft. Bragg's SOMTC (Special Operations Medical Training Center). At that time he was an active duty SF NCO himself, and had done his time in the field as a medic. He is an accomplished martial artist and has instructed in various disciplines, he is accomplished enough as a shooter and tactician to have led the pack at NTI a few years ago. John is an outstanding instructor and an ongoing student in anything that inspires his interest, I trained with him in a knife fighting class at the Special Warfare Center a few years back.

His analysis of the training film he discussed is perceptive and informed, I consider it well worth paying attention to. Thanks for posting this, and for including the link.

hardball is a better penetrating round.....better for a "combat" scenario as far as penetrating cover. I worked with a guy whose reloads were all ball ammo. His thinking is that if the first 15 hollow points don't stop the fight, why the heck would it matter if he had 30 more?
