I'm sure many of you guys/gals have built one of these. But for those who haven't, following are pictures of a revolver stand that you can make for cheap. It helps you load the Colt Army.
Yes, there is a hinge. The hinge is only there so that you can fold it more or less flat. The thinking here is that once folded, it will take up less space in your gun bag.
Mine ain't much to look at, but it works just great.
Hogged it our & screwed it together quickly the night before a shoot cuz I had given my original to a new shooter who needed it.
Original was more a woodworker's product.
After I made this one, I was gonna make a nicer-looking one, but this one works so well, I never got around to it.
Just 3 pieces of scrap I pulled out of my kindling bin.
Works on Colts, Rugers, & Remmies.
Use it mostly for Colts cuz I usually use a cylinder loader with Rugers & Remmies.

Prairie Dawg - I like your loading stand! I thought about notching the vertical piece but some how I ended up with dowels instead. And that's a great looking shooting iron you've got there.
I bought a folding pistol stand on an auction site. It's 9 inches high and has an 8 inch base. It was made by a hobbyist and will also work with some single shot pistols.
