Did they make this? Where can I buy one? I haven't really found much info about it on the net for some reason.

Hmm thats about what I thought, they don't make them? Looks like there was a big hubub on the net early 2008 and it never happend

Taurus will probably come out with their 1911 9mm soon, .38 Super has been out a year or so now.

Making them, and marketing them in the USA, is two different things. As I recall, there were samples of RIA/Armscor 9mm 1911's at last year's Shot Show, but I've never heard of them actually hitting the stores here yet. Seems odd, because there's a LOT of people waiting for them to. Kinda like the High Point .45 carbine. Armscor branded pistols aren't marketed in the US, as far as I know, but Armscor manufactured guns are sold here under several other names, including RIA.

I have three RIA 1911's in .45, and would definitely buy one in 9mm, if I ever see one.

Like Taurus, Armscor has not released them yet and may never. Taurus is notorious for announcing releases and then never coming through on them. Ive been waiting for the 9mm, 40, and 45 Charter Arms to be released as well.

Lets put it this way. If you are saving money for a 9mm 1911 you might as well buy the Colt, Kimber, or Springfield right now rather than wait an indefinite amount of time on Taurus and Armscor.
