I have this Richardson Guerilla Gun, but it looks different than any of the other pictures I have seen on-line. Any one have any thoughts about this gun? I think it may have been a first run or proto-type.

I'm no expert, but you could well be correct about it being a first run. The "Patent Pending" stamp is perhaps an indication of that.

It's certainly an interesting piece, and a fascinating bit of history. Many thanks for the pictures,

IIRC, the Richardson is a very primitive shotgun design. It doesn't even have a trigger in the traditional sense. To fire it, you grab the front part of the barrel and briskly slam it backwards to touch off the round in the chamber.

Never knew there was a factory version of something like this. WOW.

I gotta ask if ya have the stones to shoot it tho?

I think if someone handed me one of these at a range it might be a time when i'd pass on shooting something and I don't pass up an opportunity to shoot much at all.

Sort of like shooting a Liberator.

Double up on eye protection, fire one round, and then tell your buddies about it for years to come while swapping tales over beers.
