She represents D.C. and is very resentful that the SCOTUS might overturn a handgun ban there.

She claims it's a local matter and most locals want the ban in place.

However this is a woman who pushes and cosponsors every NATIONWIDE gun bill introduced in Congress.

Why does she have a stick in her craw that folks in Montana can own AR-15 type semi auto rifles?

Why leave D.C.'s laws alone but change everyone else's gun laws?

I went to a congressional hearing on the DC gun ban in the summer of 2005, with Norton, the DC Mayor, DC police chief, and Lott. It was full of the usual rhetoric but I remember Norton getting pissed when a pro-gun congressman from Indiana kept calling her "Delegate Norton" instead of Congress woman like everyone else. I thought it was pretty funny.

Imagine her response if we make a few substitutions....

She represents Virginia and is very resentful that the SCOTUS might overturn a Slavery ban there.

She claims it's a local matter and most locals want Slavery in place.

Pesky thing, that Constitution.

Just be glad she doesn't have a vote. There are some clips of her on the Colbert Report (getting to know a precint), which was pretty funny.

I don't think gun bans work all that well, but they are even less effective when there is no security between states and that neighbor state allows lawful possession.

Sure you are right, look how well those euro gun laws protect England!
