Rifle, 38s & 357mag

My wife is dying for a Henry rifle. (She has a catalog)
I asked what caliber she wanted.
She said since we reload 38spl and 44 it might likely be one of those.

Please excuse the question if it sounds like I'm an idiot, but can you shoot 38 special from a lever action 357 mag???

Don't know whether there are problems feeding .38's in a .357 Henry, but My .357 Marlin 1894C handles all .38's except for flush wadcutters.

I've heard "bad things" about feeding 38's in a .357.

That's why I bought an 1866.
