who cares about the rifle it's clear that this is

A. in the wrong forum

B. There's far too high a dorkfish factor in the pic to make a positive ID possible. There's nothing sadder than a dude trying to act badass and failing miserably

Krochus why be rude? Thats the problem with alot of the forum people your rude because you THINK your an expert. Either answer the question to the best of your ability or dont post at all.

cool and uncool

thanks for eveyones response - even Dick Krochus'. I figured it was either a knock off or something closer to a toy ?? the goober in the pic holding the gun is my girlfriends friends boyfriend (whew - he's not my friend anyway) which is why i concealed his identity , but he sent this pic with several others to my woman and was bragging about it , i know he's into paint ball guns , when he heard that i just bought a couple new guns (taurus 917c & kel tec sub 2000) he assume felt he needed to compete with me and get himself something new too ,but he did'nt tell us what it was - i did'nt feel like acknowledging any interest of his gun to him so that is why i asked the good fellas of the high road. thanks for enlightening krochus about unnecassary rudeness for us Machinator , you are right about one thing tho Krochus - dude in pic is a dork. on the other hand - if you dont like a thread on this site , then dont read it or waste yours and our time by responding ??
Thanks again fellow THR's

To the OP:

You didn't know it was an AK variant? That had to be asked? It's the most recognizable firearm in the world. To ask for "rifle experts" was a bit misleading.

As for a specific ID, disguising the identity of the person in the pic in the manner you did (without specifying why) invited the respondes you received.

Your question was brief, and short on motive. You could have cropped the rifle in question out of the pic and asked a more concise question if you wanted a better answer.

high order

you are right about my querry , it took me about half an hour just to cover the dudes face in the photo - im not very good at editing pics on the computer , dont know how to crop the dude out of the pic - thats what i would have rather done and tried with no success ?

p.s. as for "the most recogizable fire arm in the world" is an opinion , a glock , an uzi , a tec nine , 357 magnum ... these are also recognizable fire arms , of the world ... opinions vary from person to person ??

its an airsoft gun a buddy of mine has one with the full stock

if you look at the front handguard it looks plastic

Billy,

why not a black box ala MS paint? It would have taken mere seconds.

What program did you use?

p.s. as for "the most recogizable fire arm in the world" is an opinion , a glock , an uzi , a tec nine , 357 magnum ... these are also recognizable fire arms , of the world ... opinions vary from person to person ??

For clarity, are you saying you did not know that the firearm in that picture was a variant of the AK-47?

Thanks.

What countries have an uzi, glock or tec-9 on their flags? It is not an opinion to state that the Ak is the most widely recognized firearm in the world, its just a fact. You did not even mention the only other possible contender for that title, the M16.

I did this in MS paint. crop, rotate, 200% size.

If you have a higher res scan, we could probably tell you a bit more.

This took 10 seconds... admit it, you're the guy in the pic, and you wanted to be cute. ;)

NO highorder , I DID NOT know that it was a "variant of the AK-47 - thats why I asked ?????
NO , Im not the tall goofy dude in the picture that is holding the air soft gun that looks like an AK-47 - no need to be "cute"

this is me (dude in pic with my ? is 25 yrs old - im 38 yrs old , he has only a few tattoo's - i have 13 tattoo's , he's skinny - im 6'1'' and 220 lbs ... )
(im NOT the one with the mohawk)

This may come as a shock to ya but

WE DON'T CARE:rolleyes:

This isn't a mancard checkpoint we could care less about you # of tattoos, height or weight

gtscotty

you should go to a library and look up the word "fact" ?!?!
the world is round - fact
the human heart is a muscle - fact
dogs have 4 legs while man has 2 legs - fact
a worldly recognized gun by any bodys definition is merely opinion !!
last time i looked at our flag - it has stars and stripes on it , in red , white and blue (no pictures of any guns are present) - FACT

for this dead thread as of right now , im over it - fact:barf:

i was talking to highorder there crotch - as for my tat's , height and so on - noting that i am NOT the dude in the pic ?
im sure care as much of me as i do your 7.62x39mm adventures and exploits ?

NOW OVER IT FOR GOOD - crunch:eek:

For what it's worth, I care an awful lot about Krochus' 7.62x39 adventures, as do a bunch of other people here. And insulting a respected member of our community by calling him "crotch" is not likely to gain you any points here.

Your question may have been completely legitimate, but it's awfully hard for a forum of gun enthusiasts to believe anyone posting here wouldn't recognize the basic shape of an AK-47. Right or wrong, it sounded an awful lot like you were trolling, and IMO you shouldn't be surprised by the members here reacting with suspicion.

Now, if we can get past all the drama, and it's not an airsoft gun, I'm sure people here would be happy to help you learn more about the gun in question.
