Looking to buy a rifle for deer hunting- say .270 to reduce recoil.

Any suggestions on how a rifle should fit?

I understand the length of pull on my shotgun which I use 15"-15.25"- I have 37" sleeve length.

I picked up a Moseburg and Remington 270 at Dicks and they sure feel small.

On my 22 rifle, I have the Ruger 10/20 but with a extended tactical stock and it feels good.

    Suggestions on long stock .270?

Add another inch of recoil pad.

Like the stock to just fit inside the crook of my elbow when I hold it parallel to the inside of my strong hand.

the best way to get fit, is to measure the distance from insid of elbow, to pad of trigger finger, then subtract 2 inches...
