I grew up hunting, but in my part of the country most shots are taken from 25yards to 75 yards and maybe once in a while out to a hundred yards, anything beyond that is very rare. So I never needed a scope and I never really bothered to learn all that much about them, but now I would like to start learning.
What I do know is you get what you pay for, I know the good companies Leupold, Zeiss, Swarovski ect.. I am guessing that Nikon is a good company(I like their camera lens). What I am after, is there a web sight or forum for some good general info, or any good books on the subject, like scopes 101 for dummies?
Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
