Rifle shooting with left eye dominate

Not true. You can overcome natural eye dominance and learn to switch the active eye at will. It just takes practice, as well, and it's arguably a lot easier than completely retraining your muscles and natural movements.

That is not my experience.

I too am right-handed but left eye dominant. i shoot rifles on my left shoulder, and keep both eyes open. I shoot pistols with either hand, but prefer right-handed.

Left handed left eye dominant, but I have a slight astigmatism in my left eye, so the sight picture, be it irons or optics, is slightly blurry. I've learned to shoot right handed and after 2 years of practice I can easily shoot both left and right handed. Since I'm somewhat ambidextrous the transition wasn't that difficult, but it did take a few thousand rounds to get used to.

I am right handed and left eye dominant. I shoot long guns left handed and handguns right handed sighting with my left eye with both eyes open.
