Back in the last 80's / early 90's they sold for around $120 new without optics. I bought a 25mn used a few years ago for about $75 w/o optics and some fool had carved his name in the stock. If it's in good condition I'd say $150 is about right. I would check the bore and crown to make sure nobody has abused it with a cleaning rod.

That's a decent price, if the scope works, for my neck of the woods. I have one in .22 Mag, only issue is that the triggers are a bit heavy.

It will look more like a dull edge in lieu of a sharp edge where the rifling meets the crown. The main cause is cleaning with an uncoated rod from the muzzle end. For some reason, most of the cleaning rod damage that I’ve seen was on .22’s.

My first gun was a Marlin 25, still have it, well, to be honest, I did sell it a few years ago for some stupid reason, and have regretted it ever since, but I recently found another one in great shape and have returned it to the collection, it may not be the one I was given as a gift for my 16th b'day ages ago, but it's the same exact model, year, and vintage, so I lie to myself and say that it's the same gun, it's kinda' true, in a way.... 
anyway, the 25 is a *GREAT* gun, mine is dime-to-nickel size group capable at 50Y, the 7 shot magazine feeds Shorts, Longs, and Long Rifles flawlessly and yes, you can even mix-and-match in the same mag
It may not have the presence, cachet, mystique, or coolness of a CZ, Anschutz, Cooper, or other super-high end gun, the stock trigger is pretty bad, but if you do your part, that Marlin MicroGroove barrel will impress you
I consider the original 25 a "sleeper" gun, it shoots far better than it should for the price you pay, pick it up, I think you'll like it
I have a Bushnell 4-15X 40mm AO Trophy scope on mine, the scope cost more than the rifle is worth, but this thing is a true tackdriver and deserves nice glass

Pictures, IIRC there is a method. Got to run, but I'll do some google magic tomorrow and see what I find.

I use that ammo (Aguila Super Colibri) in my 25 with no problems, with the following caveats;
1; it's only reasonably accurate (1" to 2" groups) below 25 yards, above 25 yards, accuracy drops off rapidly
2; it's *very* dirty, it's a good idea to inspect your bore and perhaps give it a quick boresnaking every 20-25 rounds
3; it is prone to ricochet off hard surfaces, due to the low energy of the projectile
that said, it is incredibly quiet, in a Model 25 (and a Model 39A, and a CZ-452 Trainer, and a H&R Sportster single shot, and an Ithaca 49 single shot....), all you hear is the click of the firing pin (in a boltgun)/the hammer fall, and the *thwack* of the bullet hitting the target
I've even been able to shoot in the upper attic in the house, about 20 yards away, an enclosed attic, and all I hear is "Click-thwack", my Benjamin 392 .22 caliber gun on two pumps is louder
Other good quiet rounds are the CCI CB series (CB Long and CB Short), and the Remington CBee, accuracy-wise, *MY* Model 25 shoots the Remington CBees the most accurately, not sure if it's because the CBee is a full length .22LR round (all the others are shorter and have some freebore before they engage the rifling), or because it has the largest powder charge....
Super Colibri; double-thick primer only
CCI CB series; .5 grains of propellant
Remington CBee; .8 grains of propellant
on a scale of 1-10, 10 being a CCI Mini-Mag high-velocity round, I'd rate the rounds out of a Model 25 thusly;
Super Colibri; 2.0
CCI CB; 3.0
Rem. Cbee; 4.0
