i was cleaning my taurus yesterday, and since my eyes are really not that great, i grabbed one of my eye loupes to see how clean the barrel was. WOW! was that enlightening! next time you get the chance, you should do this. it is very easy to see how every different barrel will leave different marks on bullets. there were pitts and scratches in the rifleing that i had no idea were there. none of them very big, but definitly enough to scratch a bullet screaming past them. verrrry intersting!

Gotta love a loupe! Trouble is they sometimes leave one with the opinion that he just bought a piece of junk when he sees all the machining marks not visible before.
