Okay I bought this thing about a year ago (Marlin 1894c), and it continues
to amaze me. Today I took it with me to the range with 2 boxes of
magtech 158gr sjsp. This time I brought a 6" ram swinger target.
I chronied the Magtech out at 1950 fps 10 ft from the muzzle
(BC was .170). I fired ten rounds at 25yards to zero at that range,
and for fouling. That gives me a zero at 110 yds, maximun PBR
at 122 yards, and only 3 inches low at 150yds. Set targets at 25yds,
100yds, 150yds, and just for Sh*ts, and gigles the ram at 200yds
(used the bottom of the stock front sight blade to align).
From a rest groups at 25yds ran around .25 inches( difficult to tell mostly one hole groups) , at 100ys average group size ran 3 inches, at 150yds 4 groups all between 3.5-4. inches. The ram at 200yds I hit 48 times out of 50 rounds.
I know...I know... Not tack driving accuracy huh.....
I'm pretty proud of it though....not too bad for iron sights though....
That right no scope just a williams 5D with a .93 twilight aperture.
Some of the guys saw me shooting the ram and came down to see me
were blown away by the fact that I didn't have a scope.
The best 519.00 I ever spent.
