Politicians need to learn what the term Assault Rifle even means

Would it be any less of a ban if they had the terms correct?

No that is 'assault weapon' not 'assault rifle'.
Although the two often get used interchangeably adding confusion.
Assault rifles are an actual military item with a definition, which is becoming more fuzzy but is still well defined.

I stand corrected!

And yet, the media usage of the term (because they DO use both terms) is synonymous with "assault weapon" in intent and effect.

I seriously doubt any AR workaround will exist in CT.

Unless the Democrats are voted out or a lawsuit gets this crap overturned the law will be constantly amended. Several Democrats were already outraged that there was no confiscation in the law and will most likely bring it up next year.

And the sandy hook pro lobbyists that wrote the CT laws arre now in DC pushing to get this made federal law.

Oh and Hoffmans sucks. The kiss ass to anti gun lawmakers to stay in buisness.

I thought my 1903-A3 was an "Assault Rifle" because it was "military style" and had an evil bayonet lug. Hm. The problem is the media just use that term whenever someone gets shot somewhere, just to scare the populace into hating guns.

Depends.

If you're in a school, very likely the same thing that happened with a kid who gnawed his Pop-Tart to look like a mountain, or the kid who pointed his pencil at someone else and said "PEW-PEW-PEW!"

Personally, this does not bode well when teachers start complaining about how underpaid they are and how they're so deserving of pay raises when they're obviously not capable of telling the difference between a gun and a Pop-Tart or pencil. My sympathy meter is pretty much pegged low.

But I digress...

Ruger 10/22 with flash suppressor

Here's a situation I haven't seen addressed yet. I have a Ruger 10/22 takedown that came equipped with a flash suppressor. It's a rimfire with a removable magazine and one evil item - a flash suppressor. Do I have to remove the flash suppressor and replace it with a muzzle brake to be compliant?

I think you should remove the flash arrester and replace it with a loudener.

As opposed to a silencer...because we all know silencers are evil.
