Went out back this morning to knock the dust off the rimfire stuff.
Had a 100 rds of CCI minimags (copper jackets) 100 rds of CCI Stinger hollow points and 500 rds of CCI Blazer (no jackets) that I got at a gun show a few months ago.

Marlin 39A, Marlin 60, Kimber 22LR conversion on my Raptor II

The Stingers and minimags went through everything like greased snot. The Blazer functioned ok in the lever action 39A but continuously failed to feed in the 60. The Kimber conversion totally choked and puked on it. Failed to feed and failed to extract but succeeded in frustrating me. Switched back to stingers and minimags in the Kimber and started having fun again.

Is this common? It's all CCI stuff right?

Still had a great cheap morning. I got my wife out there and she had to admit she was enjoying the accuracy and speed of the 60, even got her working on COM with the Kimber conversion.

Used in the following:
High Standard Sports King
Marlin 85
Ruger MKII Target and 10/22
Smith and Wesson 617 and 422
Walther P22
- The Blazer stuff only works consistently in the 617 (revolver) and the Rugers.
The problem seems to be not enough recoil pulse from the Blazers to adequately work the action of the guns that it does not function well in.
Remington Golden bullet and Federal bulk pack work much better for us.
As in all things related to 22s and their ammo preference YMMV.
Regards,
Greg

i shoot the CCI mini mag in my Ruger MKIII Hunter & my 10/22 with no problems. They feed everything but CB longs. CB's don't have enough to cycle.

I bought a brick of Blazer and my Colt Match Target ate it all without a burp!:D

I would have bought more but that Sportsmans Warehouse closed last fall.

Thanks folks

I'll stick with Stingers and Minimags for the .22 conversion and Marlin 60. I'll also give Federal and Remington LR a try.

I'll smoke up the blazer in my trusty lever action ... and clean it a lot.

I did notice this, the Blazer has less "report" than the rest.

Thanks
Mark
