So the girl friend got herself a new .22lr Sig Mosquito at the last gun show. She got in the custom pink finish. And yesterday we took it out to the range. I have to say after all the crap I have read about this gun it was SO nice to be surprised.

We started out shooting CCI Minimags since many of the reviews recommend only shooting CCI to ensure reliability. Those of course ran fine, the next thing we put through was 100rnd of American Eagle 36grain also fed 100% finally We tried some Federal Bulk pack. I had 2 different bulk packs, one in a blue box and one in the red box. The red box shot 100% while the blue box would Fail to Feed at least 20% of the time.

I believe the difference was that the blue box champion is hollow points. Either way it was nice to see that it worked with the cheap stuff. We were afraid we would be stuck shooting CCI for the rest of the time.

Well there are no pictures since it was raining nasty so we didnt stay more than about 45minutes and the camera would have gotten all wet anyway.

The gun shot great, I had no problem shooting bowling pins at 20yrds. Everything about the gun was very nice.

So I would give this gun an A+ so far.

kd7nqb, I'm glad your GF likes her Mosquito. Mine has served me very well with only the typical rimfire issues. It's a real nice feeling firearm, and if and when the urge strikes her to move to a larger caliber, she might just hold a Sig Sauer and feel right at home. That was one of the things that endeared it to me. The "controls" are the same as many of their DA/SA pistols.

That's the real benefit of the Mosquito and P22 (I have both and they're 100%).

Each has a big brother with the same layout and controls - rather than looking like a raygun like a Neos or a dedicated .22 such as a Ruger (have that as well)...
