Does the ring spacing affect your POI, when using a 20 MOA base? I'm trying to decide if moving my rings closer together might move my POI down. I can't really see it changing though.

You just want to space the rings so you can get the eye relief you need. The rings should otherwise be spaced evenly.
The bases are uniform wedges, ring location on the base will not change what it does.
