I just picked up a LAW Professional in 7mm RM and a Vortex Razor HD LH 3-15x42. Both must have been discontinued because the prices were so low. Anyhow, the rifle come with weaver-style scope bases installed, but I'm debating on replacing them with Talley lightweights. Does anyone have experience and a preference with both systems?

I really like the talley lightweights ive got, i also like the look of one-piece rings better than rail and ring.

Ive never had a problem with weaver mounts and separate rings tho, and use them if the gun im getting has a rail already.

My Abolt .375 ruger build will ware talleys, and my new RAM in 7mm will have Warnes attached to the provided rail.
I have complete confidence both will work well.

If you are looking for lightest weight the Talleys win.

Another Talley fan though I don’t mind the look of a rail system, with a preference for 1913 over Weaver. Talley’s quality is undeniable IMO and they keep lines clean.

I’ve mounted scopes using about every brand and system I know of. The major brands work and work well. For my rifles I use EGW picatinny bases and Warne rings. They aren’t better than Talley quality wise they are just what I like. I’ve also encountered defective components from just about every quality maker. Not talking about the really high end stuff like Conetrol but Leupold, Talley, Warne, DNZ, Burris etc.
