I use 4.4 grns of Bullseye with both the 124 gr Gold Dots and the 124 gr RMR MPR's. MPR's are a very high quality bullet. I do have to adjust the seating die when I change bullet brands. The ogive on the Gold Dots is a little different than that of MPR's.

I'll pile on! I'm another satisfied, actually delighted customer. The product is great, doing business is straightforward. There are no surprises. Jake calls it like it is. For example, one can backorder items. Jake tells you straight away that he charges your card in advance and approximately how long it will take for the bullets to arrive. And it happens just like that! No fuss no muss. His email communications are open and honest. The company just exudes honesty and integrity. Such company ethics make me want to help them succeed.

I have recently received my first order order from RMR of some 124 gr 9 mm JHPs. Good looking bullets and good price. I now discover that RMR says to load them to 1150 FPS to ensure reliable expansion. I loaded some with Titegroup to what Hodgdon's website says is maximum, 4.4 gr and the average of the ten rounds tested were 1098 FPS. Hodgdon does not list any 9mm +P data. I have Titegroup, CFE Pistol, and Universal powders. So, my two questions are: 1) Those that are experienced with RMR bullets, is 1100 FPS adequate for expansion on these? and 2) Where can I find a good source for safe 9mm +P load data? I found some data for AA#7, but the pressures were right at maximum specs for +P theoretically getting to 1150 FPS. I will be using these in a Beretta M-92F. Thanks for the reply!

Call RMR and ask for load data. You should be able to get there with W572, VV 3N38, Power Pistol or No. 7 without having to go into +P pressure. Be careful about mixing data sources. Some SD bullet numbers will be based on short barrel guns for the CW community, while other data will be based on pressure testing actions and barrels. As always, start low, work up, and use a chronograph to see what your gun is doing, not what the test guns did.

Does anyone really know if these bullets - RMR 9 mm 124 gr. - will or will not expand @ 1100 FPS? I have no way to do an expansion test at my local municipal shooting range, only chronograph tests for velocity. If I could obtain some BE-86 or VV 3NN 38, I could just load them with that to get 1150 FPS, but that supply is not available. So, if they really don't expand properly at 1100 FPS, which is the max Titegroup published load of 4.4 gr, I will either need to go a bit higher than published by Hodgdon or set these bullets aside until whenever (if ever) other powders become available. I also tried these bullets with 5.3 gr of CFE Pistol, which is .2 gr over Hodgdon's published max, which resulted in 1087 FPS average. Again, well below the goal of 1150 FPS. Hodgdon does not publish +P data.

@IALoder just posted Brownell's has 27 powders in stock, including BE-86 and 3N38.

Their 69 gr. in .223 is a great MatchKing substitute. Seems I read somewhere they we’re working on a 75-77 gr. also

Sorry not trying to hijack this. I too just received my first order of the RMR 124gr MPR bullets. I plan to load them with titegroup. Looking for advice on where to start with these.

Maybe I'm an outlier, but I stopped ordering from RMR when they got rid of the volume discount (3K+) and had backorder times of over 12 weeks. I've since found other places that didn't take back orders but had lower prices. I just had to keep on top of their sites to find them in stock but could get my orders within days of placing them.

Please provide more info on places with lower prices. Thanks.

I was a little surprised at RMR hitting my CC right away for an order that would not arrive for 3 months, but I was okay with it knowing RMR was a reputable company and would deliver, which they did. It was not a surprise, they explained up front that if you were not okay with the CC thing, don't order. So kudo's for that.

I gotta tell you that you are the first guy I ever heard complain about RMR, but your opinion is just as good as mine, or anyone else's.

Montana Gold. You can order 3750-4000 cases at discounted prices. I currently pay slightly over 9.2¢ per projectile for 9mm JHP projectiles. The RMR JHP MPR is a LOT more. 1,000 - $109.00 (10.9¢ per bullet). Even with the 5% discount it's well over 10¢ per round.
The problem is the difference in discount that RMR used to give for a 3000+ order was pretty big.

Not sure I'd consider it a "complaint", it's more a statement of fact. They removed volume discounts due to being back ordered but have never added them back. Due to the volumes of projectiles I go through I'm price sensitive. I'm just not going to pay 10.9¢ per projectile when I can get something comparable and that works perfectly fine for me for over 1¢ a projectile less.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on them. Seems the have nothing in stock right now, in any of the 4 calibers I checked. One of the nice things with RMR is free shipping and no sales tax. Is that true of Montana Gold also?

They get stock in usually a few times a week. You just need to keep checking and order as soon as you see it. For 9mm, they most frequently have the 124 gr JHP. I have seen some of the others show up, just not as often. Yes shipping is included in the listed prices and they didn't add tax.

Love the RMRs. The bullets I use are in stock more now so it’s much nicer.

In have been using RMR bullets for several years (12?) and I have about 800 rounds loaded and stashed asmy "Just I Case" ammo. They feed, fire, eject and are accurate in all my 9mm guns. I have seen the "RMR discounf code" thread many times, but usually forget to use it, as standard price is good for a good product. Just received 250 115 gr JHPs and again, I forgot to use the discount...o_O

A "screw up" on my part; I put my RMR 124s in a plastic tub, and accidently dumped some Noslers in the tub after a reloading session. When I realize my faux pas, I was gonna sort them. I couldn't tell the difference by looking or weighing...
