ROA for $375

Guy wants "face to face" only. Took a shot and offered to buy, wait and see .
 
I'm always very Leary of someone who lists items on Internet and only wants to do business "face to face". From what I see about ROA 's. 375 is probably about pawn value. So why not just pawn it if he wants face to face.

I personally consider local anonymous listings like Armslist, craigslist, backpage, etc. to be the type of transactions I expect to conduct face to face or not at all.
 
I guess I should clarify my previous post. The deal sounds to good to be true. I sure wouldn't send any money nor would I meet this person unless in a populated area. This gun is 150 to 200 less expensive than the typical selling price. If he was desperate for money why not just pawn it.

From my experience if the price is to good to be true it's usually not true. People advertise on Craigslist etc all the time with great deals. The sucker goes to them and is departed from their money without receiving the goods. Robbed!
 
I don't think that price is to good to be true by a long shot. It sounds like a very appropriate asking price for a private sale. Yes there are a lot of crazy bidders on Gunbroker, but I recently picked up a very nice ROA with minor obvious signs of use but no abuse or excessive wear for $300 after the guy was offered $150 at a local Gunshop as a trade in on a black plastic pistol. All I had to say was "I'll double it" and a deal was struck.
 
I've purchased all of my ROA's in the past year or so and never paid more than $350. That is an absolutely fair and honest price for that gun.
And , the reality of it is, that is what an ROA is worth.
NOT the ridiculous prices you see on Gun Broker.
