Do all ROA loading levers rattle? My lever doesn't lock up well at the front, where it latches onto the barrel stud. There is a lot of up and down play. If I pinch it tight at that point, with my fingers, the lever no longer rattles when I shake the gun up and down. The lever seems to be about 1/32" short (or, the stud is 1/32" too far away). I slid a 1/4-inch diameter rubber O ring over the stud, and the rattle ceased. But it's awkward to latch the lever with the O ring there.

Someone posted a few years ago that the ROA's lever can be adjusted for length?? I don't know how to do that.

There's a screw and spring that holds the collar against the peg on the barrel. You can loosen the screw some, beware if you take it apart, it only goes on one way, if you put the collar on backwards, it won't move when tightened, been there and done that. Look at the end, inside the collar and you'll see the flathead screw.

Isn't there a spring in there and if so, perhaps the spring is worn?

Ah, okay ... I didn't look inside the collar. :banghead: I'll loosen the screw a tad and see if that helps.

Wow, it worked! I turned the screw counter clockwise, maybe a little under a full turn, and the lever locks up tight now! Amazing.

Many thanks robhof!

Thanks for posting that! Mine is much better now, but still has a little rattle to it. MUCH better now though.

Cool! I had to find the sweet spot on mine. I actually loosened it too much at first and had to come back, clockwise, a quarter turn.
