Typical road trip I bring by backup Glock 19. Unless there’s mag restrictions, then the HK45c.

For me, it's the same boring answer I've been giving on other threads: Glock G20 10mm.
Now I do have four 10rd mags for restrictive states. And I'd probably take a backup for my non-dominant side. Likely a G33, but maybe a G43.

Excellent choice; mine too! I take along a couple of 17 rd. mags just in case and keep the gun loaded with a 10 rd. mag if travelling in some less enlightened parts of our country. Thinking about adding another Ruger to the mix; my LCP MAX, as it also has 10 rd. mags and it rides so comfortably in my right front pant's pocket or in an IWB holster.
