Hi all,
I'm driving from Minnesota to Colorado in November. I have my Minnesota carry permit, and have sent for my New Hampshire non-resident permit. We want to see Mount Rushmore anyway, which is cool because this way I don't even have to raise the issue of the other reason why we're not taking the slightly shorter route via Iowa and Nebraska, i.e. that their regimes do not recognize one's right to self-defense outside the home.
So anyway, you legal experts out there please clarify & correct for me:
1. I'm going through South Dakota. My Minnesota permit is good there. Cool.
2. Wyoming. They don't honor the MN permit, basically since we don't honor theirs, but they honor New Hampshire permits. Including NH non-resident? Does somebody know? The reason I wonder is:
3. Colorado -- bummer! They don't honor the MN permit, basically since we don't honor theirs, and if I'm understanding correctly what I've read, they now only recognize resident permits from NH. Is this true? If so I guess my heavily armed & CO-resident-permitted brother will have to protect me & my family on the streets while we're there.
