Roberts=Varget

I have my Roberts' rifle ready to go. I have all the reloading stuff, including dies ready. I have several powders that I can use.

One of them is Varget.

Has anyone here tried Varget in their 257 Roberts?

I think you are going to want a powder in the range of 4350/4831 for the Roberts cartridge. That is what I have found to work best anyhows...

The Hodgdon web site lists Varget loads for all bullet weights except 60 gr and 120 gr. It's a little faster than my powder of choice - 760/H414, but the Roberts seems to be pretty flexible.
