I was thinking in ordering a new barrel bushing for the R. I. 1911 9 mm.
Why don't really know.
I have shot the gun it is a shooter.
I Mic a difference between the O.D. barrel and inside diameter. bushing .005
The difference between the O.D. of the bushing and slide is .002
Was very surprised only .002.

.005" is not really that much slightly more than a sheet of printer paper. You want a bit of tolerance to allow for moving parts because of expansion and contraction due to heat,cold etc. You also have to figure in for things like fouling buildup as well. Tight tolerances sound nice but they can bring problems just as sloppy tolerances can.
