This Rock River LAR8 is my favorite long range rifle and it's a deadly tack driver with a seemingly bottomless well. I added a Zeiss Conquest 6x14x50 scope with their Z-1000 reticle. This reticle is factory calibrated to the .308 so it was an absolute no brainer as a choice. Added a Magpul stock, Harris bipod and butler creek sling to complete the package. I thought about a tactical sling but this gun is pretty long and heavy so I opeted for a standard one. She prints sub MOA groups with bargain ammo at 100 yards. The pic below is a 1/4 inch steel plate that was on a swing away target setup that was supposed to be able to stand up to high powered rifle rounds. Needless to say, it didn't. Thought the pattern was kind of cool though.

Anybody else got a Rock River they like,....or don't?

only problem I have with the RRA compared to the DPMS LR-308 is the lack of PMAG capability - I dont want the FAL crap magazines.

I got a RRA carbine, been lookig for an LAR 8 and couldnt find one, I said to hell with it and got me another Armalite. dont know why LAR8s are so hard to find. I buy lots of guns but hell if I am gonna look all over the place for one. sorry RRA.

I didn't think the LAR8 was compatible with any stocks other than the 4 listed on the RRA website. Did you need to buy/change something to use the magpul stock on it?

Regardless, nice rifle.
